What Keep It Fresh covers

How the build price is set

$2,500 is where builds start, not what every website costs. Before you commit, we write a scope and you approve it. The price comes from that scope.

Timeline confirmed with your scope.

Your scope names

  • The number of pages
  • Who supplies which content
  • The accessibility target
  • The browsers we support
  • Integrations with other tools
  • Redirects from your old addresses
  • Milestones
  • How change requests are priced
  • What is not included

Work that is quoted separately

These are outside the starter build. If you need one, we quote it in writing before any work starts. We don't publish rates for them, because the price depends on the job.

  • Extensive copywriting
  • Logo and brand design
  • Complex integrations
  • Large content migrations
  • Online stores
  • Paid advertising
  • Ongoing SEO campaigns

When you pay

A person at Tech Donut sends each invoice. Your approval and your payment are tracked separately: the site goes live when you have approved it, not because a payment arrived.

  1. 50%

    when you accept the scope

  2. 50%

after you approve the finished site, before it goes live

Who owns the site

You do.

  • You own the custom site we build for you once the build is paid in full.
  • Third-party parts, such as fonts, stock photos and software libraries, keep their own licenses. We list them in your scope.
  • Where possible, your domain is registered in an account you control.
  • Keep It Fresh is not required to keep ownership of your site.
  • If you decline Keep It Fresh, we deliver an export of the site and the launch or migration help agreed in your scope, and we agree in writing who hosts and maintains it.

Taxes and third-party costs

Prices are in US dollars. Taxes are added where they apply.

Third-party costs, such as your domain name, paid fonts, stock photos and other subscriptions, are yours and are listed in your scope.

Questions

Does every website cost $2,500?

No. $2,500 is where builds start. A site with more pages, more content work or integrations costs more, and you see the price in your scope before you commit.

Is the monthly plan included or required?

Neither. Keep It Fresh is a separate, optional plan. It is added only if you ask for it, and you own your site with or without it.

What does the monthly plan not cover?

New pages, Redesigns, New functionality, Marketing campaigns, Third-party subscription fees, Emergency recovery outside the agreed scope. Those are quoted separately, before the work starts.

When do I pay for the build?

50% when you accept the scope, then 50% after you approve the finished site, before it goes live.

What if I change my mind about something after the scope is signed?

That is a change request. Your scope says how change requests are priced, and we quote each one before starting it.

Will the price of my plan change?

An existing plan keeps the price it was accepted at. Any change would go through a separate process that you agree to first.
